Confirmed from MacDorsa Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about MacDorsa Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (68 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 4 mentions

“Parking is convenient and plentiful and there's decently clean restrooms.”

🌾 quiet & peaceful 4 mentions

“This is a pretty peaceful park for you to hang out with your family and friends.”

A hidden gem, if you are looking for something different! The kids play area is very small comparatively to other parks in the area (a small wood-chipped area with set of monkey bars/hanging structure, a rope climb, and a couple of logs to play on, and that's it!

Nice, quiet place to walk our jumpy dog... and it's the safest park in the world!!! (the park is attached to the police station)

★★★★★ — Renee , Sep 2021

Nice lovely smallish park with shade trees not far from the freeway. I stopped to eat my lunch as I was driving through. I’m guessing it’s a very safe park since the police department is up the hill on one side of it.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
