Confirmed from Marine View Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
This 27-acre woodlands nature area has shaded hiking trails & a steep path to a sandy shoreline.
What runners say about Marine View Park
“We had a little time to kill before heading to the Airport, and wanted one last look at the beautiful Washington scenery, so we decided to stop here and we are so glad we did!”
“Some drivers do not respect the quiet of the neighborhood and make it hard to enjoy what you came for and that was peace and quiet.”
This is one of my favorite beach parks on the Puget Sound coast. It has a friendly neighborhood vibe and consists of a paved switchback path and a dirt trail which lead to a wooden staircase. This sturdy wooden staircase leads down to a beautiful beachfront.
This beautiful park provides a bit of country feel just minutes from the airport. We had a couple if extra hours before needing to be at the airport, so found this beautiful park. The hike down to the beach and back up were just what we needed before hours of sitting. It is also a great place to take kids or dogs.
As the old saying goes: “ What goes up must come down” The hike is very humbling, because it has a steep downhill which is not ideal for those with bad knees or hips. But it opens to the beautiful oceans making you love the PNW! You can take the staircase down and walk the beach, and just enjoy the smell of the ocean.
This place is truly, truly, a hidden gem in Normandy Park. It is beautiful and the view at the top of the viewpoint is breathtaking. The parking is a little suspect but as any place make sure to take your valuables with you and lock your vehicle.
