Confirmed from Memorial Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park featuring a playground, a picnic pavilion, and a public restroom, plus BBQ grills.
What runners say about Memorial Park
“During hot summers you have nice shade.”
“Great play area for all ages.”
We had a large group picnic surrounded by lots of other families doing the same thing. The draw was the Newberg Old Fashioned Festival fireworks at 10 pm. There was a live band, that was pretty good, and a carnival with rides that was charging absurd prices ... 12 bucks to throw three darts, are you kidding me?
Great community park, built by the generous people who care about their community. Picking tables for families and larger groups are located within the park. During hot summers you have nice shade. Public restrooms included.
We love this park. We are walking distance away and go just about every day the weather allows. I love the soft ground that isn't bark chips. Great play area for all ages. Also has bathrooms, huge grassy area, and a covered area with tables you can rent out.
Even with the restrictions there is SO much to do! My son loves running down the hiking trails but no matter what we do he comes home tired! Score! Cant wait to experience the playground and the splash pad once the restrictions lift!

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadrestrooms — reported by runners
