Confirmed from Tom Gail Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Tom Gail Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (56 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🐕 dog-walking favorite 3 mentions

“It was fun to play at when I was younger and now I go their to walk my dog and hang out with friends.”

This is a great place for a walk and playground trip. There's a big loop around a field if you want to do laps. If you are more into soccer or playing fetch with your dog, there is a large enough field to suit your needs. There is also an outdoor basketball area and a great playground area.

★★★★★ — Cody , Oct 2023

Great neighborhood park, well maintained and has a nice field that could accommodate most outdoor sports or going for a jog, there is small playground that is nice as well for your kiddos. You could also take your dog for a walk. They do have a porta potty available as well.

★★★★☆ — Ali , Oct 2023

Great little place to stretch your legs and play some fetch with your dogs. Small playground and nice open are for your dog(s). Walking the loop allows you to see everyone and everything at the park. If you need a few minutes to rest stop by and enjoy this little gem!

★★★★☆ — Jason , Aug 2019

Really fun park. Love that it’s unique and more of a fun climbing thing instead of a traditional park. There’s a huge field that looks great for sports or just running around. Plus it has quite a few picnic tables which is always great.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

  • At the trailheadrestrooms — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
