Confirmed from Meridian Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Picturesque, dog-friendly park along a river offering walking/cycling trails & fishing.
What runners say about Meridian Park
“Beautiful park and a perfect place to take my dog.”
“This is a very common dog walking trail so be mindful you are not alone and pups are usually around.”
This was an absolutely beautiful park. Very quiet in the early morning today! I did not go for the whole trail loop due to it getting rather hot out quickly but when i did the short loop i was pleasantly surprised to be under the shade of pines! definitely made it a nice spot to take a breath.
I walk my dogs here on a regular basis and it's one of our favorites. We also use the canoe landing very regularly as well. Plenty of trails, I love that it's along the river, I often see the bald eagles and lots of other wildlife.
Meridian Park is a great place to go if you enjoy walking on a natural path. Our walks here range anywhere from 30 minutes to just over a hour depending on the route you take. My fiance and I love to bring the camera here and have had some amazing shots throughout the trails.
I accidentally came across this county park as I was driving along, so of course I had to stop and see what it was all about. There was a booth at the entrance but no one was there, so I'm not sure if it would normally cost money to come here or not.

“The park also offers rustic bathrooms on the right side of the park when you head towards the riverside.”
“I did not go for the whole trail loop due to it getting rather hot out quickly but when i did the short loop i was pleasantly surprised to be under the shade of pines!”
Plan your run at Meridian Park
The practical stuff
- AccessDawn to dusk — the gates close, so do not plan a run that finishes after dark
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadrestrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
