Confirmed from Veit's Woods CMU Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Veit's Woods CMU Park
“Still a beautiful spot but sad to see how it's changed.”
Used to be one of my favorite places to go for a walk. Love this place but it seems like it is going downhill.. spray paint all over the trees and the bench by the river doesn't look like it's holding up too well. Still a beautiful spot but sad to see how it's changed.
Beautiful place to go for a walk/hike. Note that bikes and camping is not allowed. The trails are not good for very small children as some are steep and rocky.
We walked to, as we called it, Vike's Woods in the early 50s with our sleds or cardboard boxes and had the times of our lives sliding down the hills. Verboten to go on the frozen river as the ice could break. No adults, just kids having fun. Same with the hill on Broadway on the east side of Borden's.
The trails are lovely and it's a nice place to use relax or string up a hammock.
