Confirmed from Mianus River Gorge Preserve's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Love this place second time going they created a new yellow trail. I hiked 6 miles here 😁 Went here on 9/11/23 another great day hiking my favorite place

A very nice low-key hike along the river. The trail was easy enough that my toddler was able to walk much of it unaided. Very well maintained and impeccably clean bathrooms at the trailhead.

★★★★☆ — Matthew , Oct 2022

One of the best hikes around this area. Free, but please donate to help preserve the park. Plenty of parking, bathrooms on site, maps available at the entrance. Easy hiking trails with lots to see!

Fantastic hiking. Well kept trails and gorgeous terrain. An absolute stunner. I followed the Green to Red and returned on the Blue trail. Really interesting how human intervention created two wildly different forests (Old/new Growth) within feet of each other.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
