Confirmed from Myrtle Beach State Park Pier's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Relaxed park with a mile-long pier featuring fishing, gift shops, ice cream and a campsite, plus outdoor showers.
What runners say about Myrtle Beach State Park Pier
“The walkway is clean and well-maintained, and there’s usually some live music or street performers nearby, adding to the fun beach vibe.”
“There are a few walking paths, boardwalks and nature trails to view the quiet "naturally" scenic beauty and wildlife of the South Carolina shores.”
“The park is wooded with tall trees for plenty of shade, in just a quick walk you are on the beach with sand in your toes and the ocean waves.”
“During my visit today the beach was not crowded, the people were friendly and the sounds of ocean waves coming ashore erased any other thoughts I had.”
Amazing place with a nice pier to walk on. The entry is around 8$ for adults. Parking is easily available. It has a gift shop at the starting of the pier, lots of good stuff. I think you can probably walk to another pier from the beach. You can find a swing at the right side of the gift shop.
Great little place for a day trip, pay a small entrance fee, way cheaper than parking for the day. We loved it, you can grill and chill, walk the trails and walk right over to the beach. My kids and I loved it here.
Very nice campground adjacent to the beach. Lots of trees and bushes, so many of the sites seem more private. Mostly shaded all day. Roads are narrow and trees close to road so drive with caution. Many sites have full hookups. Bathrooms are clean. There is laundry machines that cost $2 for wash and $2 for dry.
Myrtle Beach State Park is a great place to visit. During my visit today the beach was not crowded, the people were friendly and the sounds of ocean waves coming ashore erased any other thoughts I had.
