Confirmed from New Quarter Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about New Quarter Park
“it has picnic areas and also well maintained disc golf course”
“This park has a beautiful disc golf course , and plenty of paths and walkways to explore.”
“Well marked trails and beautiful views of the water especially from trail #5”
This Trail is Rated Moderate but we did it while it was snowing 5.3 miles of it and is a whole new animal it becomes an advanced and in some sections with a lot of elevation changes down right difficult, we loved it. A Snow hike will change your perspective and view on life. It is a breath takind experience.
Wonderful and beautiful place with activities and historical value. 2 redoubts, ravines, disc golf, mountain bike trail (best around for thrill seekers), playground, hiking trails, fishing pier/lake, and above all….. FRESH AIR!
I went late April 2024. The park is maintained very well. There's plenty to do: play basketball, go on walking trails, and play in the playground. There's even a lending library. The employees are friendly and knowledgeable.
Park as a whole is nice - lots of things to do. I rode the mountain bike trail today, and it's a blast! Good flowy trail, about 6 1/2 miles long, with lots of little ups & downs. Wish there were more miles of trail.

The practical stuff
- AccessDawn to dusk — the gates close, so do not plan a run that finishes after dark
- SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
