Confirmed from Ogden Nature Center North Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (290 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 3 mentions

“We enjoyed the nice trails and beautiful scenery, but were frustrated that a lot of the trail signs had been vandalized and/or removed.”

🌳 shaded & cool 3 mentions

“Many tiny bridges cross small streams and a large section of trails are through a forested area, providing welcome shade in the summer.”

2023 (March) Photos of my nature walk. I'm disabled so I can't hike but I love being able to access the flat trail for a little bit. 😀 I miss hiking! So hike on my behalf, please. 💕😘

Nice hike. Watch for trail branches. Great views of the area from Great Salt Lake to Lomond Peak. Grades are walkable. Some rocky sections on the trail. Loads of options. Parking lot could definitely use some vegetation and debris removal.

So many trails, so little time. You can find many challenges and destinations in this great park. You can climb a steep hill to connect to the Bonneville Shoreline Trail and follow it south to Jumpoff canyon or north to Garner canyon. You can also take the Powerline trail or follow several loops across the area.

Wow! It doesn't get much closer to pure nature. The universal bueaty is like looking directly at God while he strokes the paint brush of creation. REMEMBER to hike with a partner or tell friends and family where you plan to be. Take extra water and food just in case. You never know what will happen on the mountain.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
