Confirmed from Barker Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Newer park with an amphitheater for concerts and play performances, plus hilly areas for sledding in winter and an area for picnics.
What runners say about Barker Park
“Well maintained with bathrooms, it's a nice, quiet park to visit during the day.”
“The park is beautiful, especially with the mountain backdrop and the open green areas that make it great for community events, concerts, and family gatherings.”
Lovely park. Has places to sit and eat in the shade as well. Amazing views !
This park is absolutely beautiful! Lots of open grass areas, and little playground, and a beautiful trail hidden back behind the amphitheater. The trail takes about 20 minutes to go to one end (if you have toddlers distracted my every stick and rock they find), but you feel like you're up in the mountains or in a much…
Just love this little park & the amphitheatre, enjoyed the Summer Jazz in the park & the little river walk behind the amphitheatre. Children playground is great & safe, dog friendly & great place for a picnic on the hill & watch the sunsets 😁🥂
The Christmas lights were great this year. From the tunnel leading to Santa's castle to all the lights stung up around the park. Unfortunately, the entitled people of the community (adults and teenagers) can't read. Signs were posted. They kept jumping the lights instead of walking along the paths.

“The ambiance of the park during this time is magical, with holiday decorations and lights adding to the festive spirit.”
“It's a great place for a family or two to come and talk in the single bowery while kids play, but not a great place for large outdoor activities as there is limited flat ground.”
