Confirmed from Ontario Beach Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

“This park is impressively well-maintained with thoughtful infrastructure—ample parking, clean restrooms, a small splash park for kids, wide lawn areas, and nearby restaurants.”

🏞️ beautiful scenery 13 mentions

“And of course, the beach itself is gorgeous and well maintained.”

Whole family really enjoyed the beach. Alot of seating areas for picnics and gatherings. My son enjoyed the splash pad and playground. The walk on the pier was such a great view. Recommend this place for family fun!

There was a fenced in Splash Pad for kids. Around 5:00 several adults joined the kids. Spacious picnic areas. The Merry-go-round under a pavilion was a big hit for kids. The boardwalk out to the lighthouse was a long stretch to walk in 93 degree heat. It was 🔥.

A beautiful lakeside escape with the best fall views! Ontario Beach Park is such a special place, and it always brings a smile to my face just thinking about it. One of my favorite family photos was taken here under the largest tree in the park during the fall.

★★★★★ — Bradley , Jun 2026

My family and I visited last fall in late October 2025. Beautiful scenery to see even on a chilly day. Definitely recommend to anyone who loves the outdoors. We enjoyed walking on the boardwalk and through the park that had plenty of walking paths, park benches, tall trees, playground and even public restrooms.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

The practical stuff

  • AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
  • SurfaceBoardwalk — flat and scenic, and slick when wet, so watch your footing
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
  • At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
