Confirmed from Turning Point Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Wooded acres with a waterfall, paved hiking & biking trails & a boardwalk over Genesee River.

“Beautiful nature area with trails and a 2/3 mile long boardwalk over the Genesee River for walking, hiking or cycling.”
“After this your path leads to a couple miles in shaded woods that eventually gives out to the great lake.”
“Shaded, paved, long boardwalk, easy to navigate and plenty of parking.”
“The long walkable paths, the long docks that take you out to the water and the serene environment makes this park so special.”
Turning Point Park is a great park along the Genesee River in Rochester, New York. There are a variety of interesting sights along the way. The boardwalk is very well-maintained and good for walking, running, fishing, and dog-walking. It is a pretty popular trail in the area.
Nice place to walk. Beautiful scenery. I would totally make the drive back just to spend the afternoon walking along the water.
The great board walk, with scenic views, lot of wild activity. And dog friendly. You can do fishing as well.
Parking can be a little difficult depending on the time of day that you go to the park - it fills up easy. So I wish the parking lot was a little bigger. Dogs are welcome here as long as they’re on a leash.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfaceMixed — more than one surface along the route, so check the segment you plan to run
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
- At the trailheadparking — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
