Confirmed from Ortega Stream Valley Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Recreational area with a playground, picnic tables, and hiking trails, plus tennis courts.
What runners say about Ortega Stream Valley Trailhead
“It's worth it when you find the bridge to the dock, it's a beautiful view.”
“Also dog friendly, which is really cool.”
Wow what a great place to enjoy a c calming walk. I went there on a Sunday morning very quite and only a few people. The pathway is covered in blacktop and a few areas are boardwalk. Great cover from all the beautiful trees. They also several benches placed in the path for a spot to rest some and soak up the view.
Very nice park! Playgrounds for kids and football fields. Hiking trail is way in the back near tennis courts.
Can I say ‘Hidden Gem’ of a park. The park gets busy during ball season but this nice loop trail takes you away from it all. Boardwalked scattered paths lead you back into native Florida swamp and marsh. A long board walk over an estuary leads to a small boat launch.
Nice easy trail for the morning. Trailhead at the pavilion at the back of the park, near the tennis courts. Trail was paved, although tree roots have taken over in some spots. Boardwalk out the water appears to have been re-done recently and is open!! Highlight of the trail.
Trail conditions & character
