Confirmed from Piney Creek Hollow Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Piney Creek Hollow Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (216 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 8 mentions

“The trail is well maintained by mowing several yards on either side.”

Pretty great park with a covered picnic area, bathrooms, and a water fountain. The park is nice and the trails are good for walking and bikes. There's baseball fields that anyone can use and the field is perfect for kits and drones.

★★★★★ — Kieran , Dec 2018

Held my daughter's 20th birthday party here this past weekend and I have to say the place did not disappoint at all. My daughter had been to this park before but this was my first time actually going there and I was PLEASANTLY SURPRISED.

Lots of open space and playground for kids. Great walking trail. We brought pups and walked along the creek. Loved it.

★★★★★ — Mariah , Jan 2026

Piney Creek Hollow offers superb access to a lovely section of the Piney Creek trail. This trail offers a wonderful stroll on a paved path, flanked on both sides by mostly wild prairie grasses and wildflowers. The trail is well maintained by mowing several yards on either side.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🚻 Restrooms 11 mentions

“The playground is truly built for little ones, there is a roofed picnic area with several tables, a restroom, and the trails are super sweet for running or walking.”
