Confirmed from Point Au Roche State Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Seasonal state park featuring multiple trails, along with beaches and a playground.

Was lucky enough to hike all the way out to the tip of Long point, AKA Rocky point on Google, during the totality on April 8th and it was life-changing. I could not have picked a better place to witness this sacred celestial event. A gorgeous Park. Definitely worth a visit, Plattsburgh is a lucky town!
Beautiful park with lots of great teail option's, either on the water or the horse trails. The level of difficulty is quite low, more of an easy walk. It is a great place for a trail run to amp up your physical effort. This time of year is great, the foliage is growing back and not too damp or buggy.
Beautiful place to go for a walk and enjoy Lake Champlain. The trails are well maintained and the beach is beautiful. This spot is both popular for tourists and locals but never too crowded. There is a variety of wildlife. It is an awesome place to go if you visit Plattsburgh.
Beautiful state park and only 7-8$ to get in for the day. There's lots of trails for those wanting to traipse through the woods. For the water lovers kayaking, very nice beaches or canoeing are available. Definitely a great place to go for a swim or spend the day in nature.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfaceNatural surface — easiest on the joints and the most fun, but expect roots, rocks and mud after rain
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
