Confirmed from Redbud Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Redbud Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (259 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 4 mentions

“The park was clean and the upkeep of the playground equipment was in good condition.”

🌳 shaded & cool 10 mentions

“Except for the swings and an adjacent, large playing/ball field, the playground is marvelously shaded by some large trees.”

Wonderful little neighborhood park. Tucked back in a shady area, it offers playground equipment for a wide range of ages, as well as plenty of seating around the play area, picnic tables, a bbq grill, and a large field.

★★★★★ — Adventure , Jul 2024

Redbud Park in Hurst is a playground paradise where kids can slide into fun and parents can teeter-totter between relaxation and mild panic. The swings? Top-tier for liftoff, though my kid almost went into orbit. The jungle gym? An obstacle course for future ninjas.

This park has a fun playground, with a walking trail & practice field. Everything seems new or in good condition. There's a gazebo with tables, and a few other picnic tables under the trees. No public restrooms. Several benches around the playground but not along the walking trail/practice field.

★★★★★ — Susan , Nov 2023

It's a nice little park that runs along a creek. The area is quiet with not a lot of traffic nearby. Parking is ample and the park features shaded playground, charcoal grills and tables. The walking trail goes in a loop around the park and although small, is still fun.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
