Confirmed from Riemer Reservoir Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Public park with picnic tables and a restroom, plus disc golf, skateboarding, hiking, and sledding.
What runners say about Riemer Reservoir Park
“This place is well kept and I always love going here, whether it is to try throwing some discs or just walk along.”
“The skatepark is top of the line, the FROLF course is always moving in the summer and there are picnic tables to sit at and just enjoy the view of the beautiful park.”
🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 We always love this Park, both the reservoir area, and the hill. It reminds me of New Zealand! We used to play kites there when the kids were younger. Today, I came for a walk up the hill, a photo session of the nature, and then for a half hour meditation 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 under the big Shelter.
Large and diverse park. Large hill for sledding and great course for Frisbee golf. Pet friendly, bike friendly, and walker friendly. There is also a small sheltered area with a few grills for day picnics. I would say this is the best place in palatine to watch the sunset as well.
Great place to hike up the hill with views of downtown Chicago. Includes a half-mile bike/walking/running loop that surrounds it. Also a frisbee disc golf, skate park, and picnic pavilion. I get great exercise here.
A great Round of 18 Frolfin, and alternate Baskets....etc Plus with the rain it dries up really quickly, so no mud to ruin your game. Beautiful views from the top of the hill for Basket 15!!! Well maintained Special Thanks to the Palatine Park District!!
