Confirmed from Rimgate Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Sprawling green space featuring a playground, sports courts & ample picnic & grill areas.

Beautiful park, pet friendly, plenty of room for kids or pet to run around. The playground is also big enough for all kids ages and in very good condition. There is a kiosk with picnic areas, so if you find yourself having a snack and it is either raining or too sunny, you can just hang out in that spot.
Between the relatively 'sceneic' exercise trail around the exterior of park; spacious fields for soccer or baseball activities; solo tennis court.....and executive 3-part playground for the wee lil lads- I'd say this park has a great blend of everything for every type of person wanting to enjoy the urban outdoors.
1. Playground - Nice play structures for toddlers and young kids - Well-shaded and safe area with benches nearby 2. Open Grass Field - Great for soccer, catch, or general play - Also used for picnics and light exercise 3. Basketball Court - Full court, good condition - Usually open and not too crowded 4.
My toddler plays at this park for longer than many others since it has 3 separate play areas and tons of space for running down hills. The practical stuff
- AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadrestrooms, water — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
