Confirmed from Saunders Springs Nature Preserve's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Wooded nature preserve with 3 rustic cabins from the 1800s, hiking trails & picnic/BBQ pavilions.

Saunders Spring Nature Reserve is located just outside of US Army Base Fort Knox. It has several old cottages from the 1700 and 1800 of the original settlers of the area. The place is pristine and beautiful during the summer.
We loved this park. We had some snacks, but wish we had ventured further into the park for a better picnic spot.. The cabins were interesting and shady walks and waterfalls delightful. Spend some time here, there's lots to take in.
Beautiful nature preserve and dog friendly! The naturalist, Barbara, ran into us on a trail and gave us a mini tour, explaining a lot of things we would have missed on our own. We loved the trails and our time there.
Very enjoyable. The trails on the lower part with the lake and springs were pretty good. We had to climb over one big trunk on the lake trail. The canyon trail had very steep stairs made out of railroad tracks. Needed to watch your footing.
