Confirmed from Sierra Canyon Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Hiking and mountain biking trails are available at this scenic area.

“Beautiful views, mixed trail use so be aware frequent mountain bikers and People with off leash dogs, its just how it is so be respectful in passing.”
“Relatively easy hike with beautiful view of Carson Valley.”
Right from the beginning of the trail you feel like you're in the mountains. Just a short trek up to breathtaking views of the valley. The hike can be steep in places so make sure you wear appropriate footwear and bring water.
It’s a good gradual incline. Trees for shade and a beautiful little creek to cool off. I’ve gone with kids ages 5-10 and they enjoy it also. You can’t take your dog as well. Not a lot of parking but we park at a distance and walk to it. Love this hike!
Views views views. Very pretty hike. Lots of switch backs. Dog friendly.
Hiked the Sierra Canyon and Genoa Falls Loop yesterday and it’s an amazing trail. There are many beautiful flowers and small butterflies during this time of the year and no snow nor mud. There’s a bunch of small river crossings and one crossing where the water is a little too high.
