We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Snoqualmie Valley Rail Trail yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Awesome and easy-going trail to go with family. Walk or bike from or to Rattlesnake lake

★★★★★ — Fernando , Jul 2022

We love this trail. Was an old railroad. Slight incline grade, about 5 miles up to the lake, and nice gradual descent makes for an easy return. Paths are well maintained, packed gravel/shale.

★★★★★ — Billy , Jun 2022

Serene, beautifully maintained trail with a nice gradual rise from North Bend up to Rattlesnake Lake. Lots of wildlife and gorgeous views. Plenty of pullouts to stop and relax if needed and a decent amount of clean portable restroom along the route. E-Bike Friendly and a well shared path with a lot to offer.

★★★★★ — Preston , May 2026

Easy trail because i didn't have time to hit the longer, harder ones in the area, but it actually turned out really amazing. Definitely an underrated experience.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
