South Valley Park South Trailhead is one of my absolute favorite spots to unplug and unwind. The trails are stunning — surrounded by red rock formations, open meadows, and just enough incline to get your heart rate up without overdoing it.
Easy hike with minimal elevation gain heading out on Coyote Song Trail and looping back on Swallow Trail. The rock formations are mesmerizing. There are standalone red sandstone towers against the background of meadows as well as a ridge that runs north and south on the east side of the park.
Absolutely beautiful & stroller friendly. Our child likes to do her own hiking/walking but gets tired after awhile. So we need places that are stroller friendly. We took the coyote song trail.
