Confirmed from Southpoint Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Southpoint Park
“This is a really nice smaller park tucked back in a quiet neighborhood, right off one of the busiest roads in Lexington.”
A little hidden gem of a park. The park is tucked in behind a small neighborhood near Brandon crossing. It is located in Fayette County but on the edge of Jessamine County. The park is very quiet and secluded. There is a small playground, some picnic tables and several walking trails. Nice place to just go and relax.
Secluded park inside our neighborhood. No restroom so be prepared for that. Short walking trail. People let their dogs run loose although this is NOT a dog park; and leash laws should still be kept.
I love this little neighborhood park! Not busy, has two paved walking trail loops, and more trails in the woods with a creek. No public bathrooms or out house.

The practical stuff
- AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadrestrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
