Confirmed from Springwater Corridor's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Springwater Corridor
“We are lucky to have such a beautiful wildlife preserve in the city.”
“Great paved path for walking, running or biking near the downtown area.”
Wonderful trail in Portland that sets a perfect example of combining nature and urban life in a practical way. It is well loved by walkers, runners, cyclists alike, and I have been running there almost every week.
I personally lived on this trail for 4 1/2-5 years some times it was really scary other times it would give you a creep factor, I've made a lot of friends because of the trail but I lost a lot of friends as well
I was riding my e-bike between 10pm and midnight, from downtown to SE (around Johnson Creek) for about 5 miles. It was solstice, but new moon. So, it's pitch black. Aside from my bike light, there's barely any other lighting source. Saw about 4-5 bicycles (all e-bikes) passed me by.
Cold and sunny on the trail today, that's right in my "wheelhouse". The trail starts under the Ross Island Bridge, and you can bike ride 15.4 miles to Gateway Transit Center. WITHOUT CARS. GOOD TIMES!!!!
Trail conditions & character
“Very intriguing views along the way and some of the graffiti artistry is amazing!”
“Beyond the 3 miles between Tilikum and Sellwood that are most frequented, the trail extends another 15 miles further east all the way to Boring, OR, perfect place to do long runs.”
“Great paved path for walking, running or biking near the downtown area.”
