Confirmed from Table Rock's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Well-maintained trails winding up a scenic cliff for views of the city and mountains.
What runners say about Table Rock
“The scenery is breathtaking — you get a stunning panoramic view of Boise and the surrounding areas.”
Great hike in Boise. I will say the parking and Trail is usually busy. Also after it has rained people should try to stay off the trails to keep them in good shape. This is a great hike for the family with dogos. Love hiking there. Beautiful sights.
Great beginner 3 mile hike! You gain/lose about 1000’ in about a mile and a half from the parking lot. Easy trail. Only a few slick rock sections and one set of rock stairs near the top. No strollers. There were lots of families out enjoying the hike.
Very nice trails. Clearly marked. Postcard worthy views! It's a great place to view wildlife. I was lucky enough to see elk on my visit. I saw several people with their dogs off of a leash. I highly recommend keeping your dog leashed. I saw three coyotes on the trail.
I hadn't been here in like 7 years. Didn't realize you cannot park anywhere up on the road side where that neighborhood is next to it. So if you think you're gonna drive up to table rock and park at the bottom, you will be turning around and finding sketch parking on the side of the road down a ways.
Trail conditions & character
“While it’s a gorgeous view of the valley from the top, I prefer the backside view of the sunrise.”
“We brought our dog we did notice a lot wonderful 4 leggs friends w/o leaches.”

“We are new to hiking & had to take a few breaks on the last 1/2 mile up to the cross because it gets fairly steep.”
“But there were also people running the trail, so it just depends on your level of experience & fitness really.”
“I wish they would put a bathroom up there, I understand it would get vandalized but theres like 6 radio station hubs up there.”
