Confirmed from Trail Lake Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park with a lake offering a paved trail, picnic tables, and a dock for fishing.
What runners say about Trail Lake Park
“On the flip side, they're decently clean, and it's nice to even have a bathroom available, so no real complaints!”
“Beautiful park, great lakes for fishing, kayaking/paddle board.”
“Saw some families with small kids on bicycles and scooters :) peaceful and nice view of lake.”
Great new park! Paved and natural trails to hike. Pollination fields with many butterflies. Kayak launching pad accommodates handicapped.
A small park with a multi-purpose and off trail trails is clean and simple. Not a lot of amenities, it's still young, but there are benches around the lake for respite along with a fishing dock. My visit was a low wind, warm Spring sun-kissed weekday. For a mid-week, the trail was well represented with activity.
This newly opened park is great! There’s a paved walking trail as well as a natural one. They offer catch and keep fishing as well as a kayak launch. This place will be amazing in every season! Thank you Portage Park District! I added a few new early fall pictures.
Hard to rate a trail because everyone prefers different things, but if you’re looking for an easy jog/walk on 100% paved path with pretty scenery and not much of an incline, this is the place for you. Really enjoy running here.
