We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Trebek Open Space yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Trebek Open Space

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (189 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 7 mentions

“Was a bit tough to find the trailheads but the view was gorgeous and we walked straight down into Hollywood after.”

🌾 quiet & peaceful 6 mentions

“A quiet place and a good length for a walk.”

It sucks. Don’t go hiking here. You will be disappointed. . . . . . . . . . (are they gone? Yeah this is a little gem that I don’t want jerks to spoil.)

A quiet place and a good length for a walk. I don't want to go tell everyone, because I don't want to make it too popular. I love it being a good neighborhood secret spot.

★★★★★ — Andrew , Nov 2020

Who knew? Alex Trebek actually had this trail and space preserved. Kudos to him. Beautiful views of LA. It was super hot the day we went so be prepared. Always bring water and wear a hat and sunscreen.

★★★★☆ — Tee , Dec 2017

This place is a killer hike with some pretty amazing views of Hollywood. There were barely people on the trail, a great alternative to nearby Runyon that's often packed with people.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
