Confirmed from Walker Mine Upper Sac Ditch Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

🌾 quiet & peaceful 5 mentions

“This quiet, easy hike is great for beginner hikers and everyone else.”

Great quiet trail. Dog friendly. Parked in the dirt lot and hiked towards the river - stopped at the overlook & hiked out to a 2nd point with a bench & lovely view of the water. Bit less than 2.5 RT but could do overlook and back (views of dam) in about 1.5mi RT.

I love the BLM land hiking trails. I go out with my dog Seymour Butts all the time because you don't have to be on a leash. You do need to be careful of people on bikes an horses though but it's usually pretty clear. One of our favorite places to go is the waterfall off FB trail.

Love taking the dog for early morning walks on the easy to navigate trails. There are many trails in the area that connect to each other. It can be confusing for someone that has not been there before. Luckily there plenty of maps online that will help you plan a path.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
