This is a long scenic beach. You can spend hours here exploring and collecting agates, seashells, driftwood and on very lucky occasions sea glass. Usually after a storm and low tide is the best time for hunting these treasures.
To get here, search for ‘agate beach state park beach parking’ across the street on the map, park there, and enter the area via the road and tunnel. Alternatively, you can park nearby and walk toward the hotel side to access the place.
Great spot. The parking here is nice, it wasn't too busy. Restrooms are good. I liked that there is a short tunnel under the main road to safely get from one side of the road to the beach side. The sand hills were intense and felt like a bit of a workout to get to the ocean.
Great cozy little place off the beaten path a little. The beach itself changes by the seasons and the winds. Sometimes, it looks like you're on the moon with all these craters, and then you come back, and it's just all flat and smooth. Great view of the lighthouse.
