The trail is great. if you are at Big Creek park. Heading North is a flat part of the trail that goes to the beach and south you head up a steep hill into the forest. We were told that is is kind of like a roller coaster. We'll be back in summer to try it out. The park is nice with a play area and covered area.
This park is away from the Beach but has an "Ocean to Bay Trail" that takes you along Big Creek to the Beach, to access this Trail go back out the entrance to the park and North across the bridge - the trail path is located on the Left (West) before you get to the 1st street.
Nice out of the way city park....good sized field for activities. BBQ cooker, although I would suggest to being your own. Plenty of covered sitting! Outhouse, garbage receptacle. Small creek (no swimming), great trail to the water tower and beyond! No overnight, closes at dusk.
