Confirmed from Edward H. McCabe Preserve's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Hiking and kayaking spot with serene trails and boardwalks, picnic tables and bird watching.

“Perfect for a short getaway or dog walk.”
Awesome park! Great for walks or a ride on your pev or mountain bike bc there are single track trail in here . Be rdy for a little roots but nothing one can’t handle. Everybody we encountered on the trails was nice and respectful and we were riding pretty hard. As always be respectful to walkers and bicycles.
Great little trail. Perfect for a short getaway or dog walk. Trail is easy to moderate , due to tree roots, narrow trails and small hills. Pack your bug repellent for warm weather hikes. Trail is well marked and offers several water front views.
I went for a walk with my 3 boys and I will definitely be back again. Trail was well groomed and relatively flat. I like the idea of preserving nature and doing simple activities.
I love this place. It's a quiet, beautiful and a great little walk with the dog. Takes on a totally different look in each of the seasons.

The practical stuff
- AccessDawn to dusk — the gates close, so do not plan a run that finishes after dark
- SurfaceMixed — more than one surface along the route, so check the segment you plan to run
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadparking, water — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
