Confirmed from Huckleberry Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Hiking and biking area offering kid-friendly trails.
What runners say about Huckleberry Trailhead
“Plenty of things to see during the walk and the area is well kept”
“Amazing view and great walk, run, or bike that goes from blacksburg to pulaski”
Shaded, well maintained trail from Christianburg to Blacksburg. Plenty of benches, restroom, picnic shelter and bike repair stand on trail. Fun, rolling hills, uncrowded, smooth path with options or additional spurs. Really enjoyed our bike ride here
The Huckleberry Trail is paved and runs from the Christiansburg VA Rec Center to the Blacksburg Public Library near downtown Blacksburg. There is a northern spur known as Huckleberry Trail North that goes west and north of the city and ends at Heritage Park.
This trail is well maintained and interesting. Great for walking, jogging and biking.
Walk the dog. Entertain the kids. Ride a bike. Take a quiet walk. So many interesting things to see. If you time it right, you can see a train go by under you. You can visit an old coal mine (sealed up). There are a bunch of geocaches to find too. I hope they keep adding onto the trail...
