Went for a walk here recently with a friend. It was rainy that day, but the beauty of the place stood out. It was a peaceful forest and water area. I will visit again and bring my little dog. The boardwalk was wide and well built.
Nice little park. Plenty of exercise equipment going around the paved trail that just goes in a circle, but then there is a wooden trail which I thought would be long but it just leads to a river but it's still a cool area.
It’s a nice walk. I love the bridge and playground. There is a track to walk around the play ground area. The bridge has forest and wetlands on both sides. Looks pretty, but spooky at the same time. While on my walk there was a passing couple discussing Voodoo rituals which did not help ease the creepiness of wetlands.
This is such a gem in an otherwise very unpleasant town. Very clean and peaceful. We especially like to take walks on the bridge. I hope it stays managed, unlike the Edisto garden's bridges that have been so neglected. The only negative to this park, is it would be nice to have some shade, especially on the playground.
