Confirmed from Pinnacles Trail 3W16's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Steep hiking trails lead to scenic views, while off-roading and rock climbing are popular.

The pinnnacles trail is awesome and gorgeous and has super cool rocks that you can climb and is very satisfying to get to the top of! It is easy to get lost though. If you are worried about that look me up on Airbnb experiences and I will be your guide! The trail is 4.5 miles there and back and climbs 1,100 feet.

Great difficult hike. Went early and had the trail to myself. Can see Mt. Baldy and Silverwood Lake from the top.

★★★★★ — Jaclyn , May 2017

As others have said, the trail is very unclear in parts. I was not using GPS and got pretty badly lost on the way back. If it had been a hot day this could have been problematic.

A real buttkikcker! A most amazing view makes it plenty worth it. Did sunset hike and spent a little over an hour on trail with headlamp. Be careful coming down.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
