Drive the 2.8 mile dirt and gravel road from Poe Valley State Park and you'll get to Poe Paddy. The general appearance of the park is good. There are 32 tent and trailer campsites and an organization campsite. The non-powered boat launch is tiny (see picture) but you can still get that canoe or tube in.
Loved this park! Stayed in a rustic site, bathrooms were clean and water available. Scenery is gorgeous, hiking trails are plentiful and vary depending on skill. Campsite was level and clean. Plenty of wood for fires. There is no service, which was great, but if you need it, this won't be for you.
An outstanding Pennsylvania State Park, tucked away in the Appalachian mountains. Far away from the hustle and bustle of the city, with some of the best fishing in all of the state. If you're a fly fisherman like I am, these are hallowed waters.
Really nice small state park and camping area. Great if you like your camping a little more on the rustic side. Stream side sites available. Access to Penns Creek for fishing. Lots of options for hiking, mountin biking or driveable trails for four wheel drive vehicles with Bald Eagle Dtart Forest right there.
