Confirmed from Silver Mine Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Relaxing park featuring paved trails and dirt trails, ponds, picnic tables, and a barbecue grill.
What runners say about Silver Mine Park
“Dog friendly, family friendly, and well kept by maintenance/lawn care.”
“A beautiful park with quite a few trails, some paved some not.”
I was at Silver Mine Park to participate in planting 200 trees for a raparian buffer along Pequea creek. The park has both macadam and gravel paths. The section I was in is being kept in a natural state. I did not see any ball fields or playground equipment.
Beautiful little park! The lime kiln is interesting to see and the trails are very easy. It’s a great walk, if you have children or have trouble walking hills.
Really cool. Some hiking for everyone from easy and paved to mud and narrow. I will definitely go back again asap
Beautiful, well maintained park. Great walking trails with benches to rest. Love the trails close to water!

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
