Confirmed from Terrace Hills Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Hiking area with many routes, including the well-maintained Avenues Twin Peaks Trail.
What runners say about Terrace Hills Trailhead
“The trail to Avenues Twin Peaks is easy and well maintained and suitable for all ages.”
Access to the BST and Avenues Twin Peaks. Parking is roadside, but plenty. The trail to Avenues Twin Peaks is easy and well maintained and suitable for all ages. The last incline to the first peak is a little strenuous. Otherwise, the trail should be considered easy.
Gateway to many, many miles of The Bonneville Shoreline Trail! Lots of up and downhill hiking, can get a little slick in gravel/rocks. Go early(especially at this trailhead due to very limited parking and going in the summer gets very hot), wear sturdy shoes, take plenty of water and sun protection.
Good trail. Not a lot of shade but a nice incline. It had some pretty flowers, but the view is where you are really winning.
This is the twin peaks trail head. Its a great hike, good for beginners. About 4 miles round trip to the twin peaks.
