Lovely short trail and a boardwalk along the entire trail, highly interesting seeing all the lava formations along it, and if your daring enough there's a crawlspace, just bring a flashlight if you intend to do it
Nice quick walk. Very well maintained with elevated deck walk to avoid falling down lava tubes lol. You can walk off on a trail from the parking lot opposed to going on platform. The tubes were still wet from snow but passable if you dare enter the darkness 🤣
So amazing! It's a great short hike around a boardwalk. Just enough signage to explain what you're seeing. Our kids loved crawling through the lava tube (they have one open for you to explore). Worth the 20 minutes before or after doing Ape Caves.
A short trail with some great information. The crawl through tunnel is fun, and it's really great to see the smaller lava tunnels, and the growth on top of them! This would be great for kids and anyone else
