This is my favorite place to bring my dogs. Extremely dog friendly, almost everyone on the hike has a dog. All the dogs get along so well! The path is always clean, every season! In the winter one side of the yellow trail doesn't get much sun so it stays a bit icy.
The trails were steep in places though they were well marked. The yellow trail that goes around the hill was the easiest to walk. The view on the Stevens trail was worth the hike up the hill, though the view from the airplane beacon was not nearly as great. It's spring time so there was quite a bit of mud in places.
Very beautiful place with a variety of trails. You can hike to the higher points and check out the scenic vista and you can hike around the parameter along the water.
Wonderful collection of trails maintained by The Trustees. Varied terrain including high cover hard wood, lake side, scrub oak, and open hilltop. Greater for birding, wild flower ID, and mushrooming.
