Confirmed from Weldon Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Family-friendly park featuring a dog park and playground, as well as a trail.
What runners say about Weldon Park
“Someone cut all the music instruments cords and the merry go round is super hard to turn but otherwise the park was clean and fun.”
“I enjoy walking with my pup, enjoy the beautiful scenery it offers and end the trip at the dog run area!”
“Good playground for all ages.”
Beautiful park. It’s well kept. Part of the trail is steep but easy to travel on. That dog park is well maintained and clean. It’s nice to see a new playground growing and expanding.
Great trails to walk wh charming little wooden bridges. Stroller friendly. Good playground for all ages. The ground in play area is bit bouncy and safe. No rocks or wood chips. Picnic area is great for many birthdays we've hosted there and ones to come. always well kept and maintained. Used frequent by many.
I enjoy walking with my pup, enjoy the beautiful scenery it offers and end the trip at the dog run area! I think the dog park area is GREAT!!! It's fully fenced in and has a place for you to hang your pets leashes, a fully stocked "usually" pet wast basket and bags, seating for the owners and even a fire hydrant! 😃
I was there for a family reunion but I did notice that the new playground equipment was pretty impressive and I know a lot of the family members the children spend a lot of time there. I also noticed that the trails seemed to be newly graveled and the grounds were very well kept.
