Confirmed from White Kitchen Nature Preserve's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Nature preserve and wildlife refuge with a pier for viewing birds, alligators, and feral cats.
What runners say about White Kitchen Nature Preserve
“They are all well fed and healthy, beautiful cats that must have been dumped off there.”
“Very beautiful and peaceful.”
Nice walk on the pier. It's a feral cat refuge. Wildlife from birds to alligators. It's quiet. But, it needs a good sprucing up.
This is a nice place to launch a boat, see wildlife, and take a walk on the bayou. There are many things to see here, as it is an interesting collision of opportunities. You can see alligators in the warmer months, and see feral cats all year round.
I live in Pearlington my whole life just a few miles from this place it is very nice but never knew it was called white kitchen Preserve I know a long time ago and used to have like a little restaurant name the white kitchen right there by it good place to take the kids to see turtles and alligators
Right on Hwy 90, plenty of parking, easy access to boardwalk & boat launch. Vendors are frequently nearby with local honey, fruit & vegetables & more ... We enjoyed the peace & beauty watching the wildlife in the swamp...
